If you’ve caught her on Around the House, you already know when Wendy Glaister is in the room, you lean in and listen. She’s one of our funniest recurring guests — the kind of expert who makes high-end design feel like a conversation with a friend, not a lecture from an upscale magazine editor.
So we figured it was time you officially met her.
Wendy’s a California-based interior designer with a client list that runs coast to coast — She is the kind of talent that clients put her in a plane to fly her to the job, no matter where it is as they want her expertise and her golden touch. And the accolades aren’t subtle: she was named to the 2025 Power List — Top 50 Designers in the U.S., she’s won ASID “Best Design” five years running (2021–2025), and she’s pulled Best of Houzz for Design AND Service every single year since 2015. That last one matters — Houzz hands those out for clients raving, not just pretty pictures. Wendy earns both.
She’s a member of the field’s big three — ASID, NKBA, and IDS — which is a fancy way of saying the pros consider her one of the pros. What that looks like in practice: she takes a space and makes it feel inevitable — like it couldn’t have been any other way. Timeless, elegant, with a little wink of innovation underneath. These aren’t “toss in a gray couch and call it modern” jobs. They’re spaces built for clients who know the difference and trust Wendy to deliver it.
