Our Show
Around the House® is a podcast and radio show that helps homeowners and contractors tackle home improvement projects. Around the House with Eric G is not your typical handyman or DIY show as we take a deeper dive into projects at home so you know how to complete them. We will help you tackle that new project while keeping your health and wellness in mind. The two hour show will talk about current events, celebrity interviews, and product giveaways. Everything from your latest DIY project to a building a home and what you need to think about before you jump on in. Your home can be a money pit but proper planning can help you keep that budget under control. Today's homeowner is looking for the latest information in home technology and we are here to bring that to you. Remodeling is a huge trend as people have been spending more time at home than ever.

The History of Around the House

Around the House has been a Northwest tradition for over 33 years. Now that the show has teamed with Talk Media Network, the radio talk show is available nationwide or make sure you catch the podcast on 34 different podcast platforms internationally.
Around the House debuted in April of 1988 with Bill Rooney originally on AM 750 KXL and four hosts later landed on Salem Media's AM 860 The Answer in Portland. With Bill Rooney and Handyman Bob Stong having the show for decades between them. In 2016 Handyman Bob Strong added Eric Goranson as a co-host until Bob retired from radio. Dane Vawter, the Producer of the show, stepped in on air as co-host with Goranson until July of 2021. At this time, Caroline Blazovsky, America's Healthy Home Expert ® joined as co-host with Eric Goranson to create the Around the House with Eric G and Caroline B show. In September of 2022 we have expanded the show with more contributors and went back to the orginial Around the House with Eric G. Caroline Blazovsky still is involved with the show and is a regualar contributor as America's Healthy Home Expert®.
